Police make 11 arrests at Aberdeen crime operation

 Operation Maple logo Operation Maple target drugs, violence and anti-social behaviour, eleven people have been arrested during the last phase of crime crackdowns in Aberdeen.

Torry, Tillydrone, Northfield, Garthdee, Woodside, cults and Bridge Don was targeted during Operation Maple.


Drug crimes, assault, malicious damage and breach of the peace was in focus.


Grampian police said more than 100 people have been arrested, and narcotics worth more than £ 200, 000 seized since operation Maple began in October.


The Originally Norman Stevenson, who led the operation, said: "Operation Maple has continued to produce positive outcomes for communities and further improve the quality of life for those affected by criminals.


"We will not turn a blind eye to the people who cause grief within our societies by committing crimes, which can have a dramatic impact on the quality of life for people on a daily basis.


Operation Maple is about to act on the concerns raised by the inhabitants.
